REPORTING CHANNEL

Reporting & Safety.

A public route for members, non-users and anyone affected by content or conduct on ROAD.

REPORT / REVIEW / RESTRICT / RECORD

Effective and last updated: 19 July 2026 · Version: ROAD-SAFETY-2026-07-19

1. How to report

Members: use the report control on the relevant public content where it is available. This preserves the relevant record identifiers.

Non-users and affected people: email contact@roadco.uk with subject “ROAD content report”. You do not need a ROAD account. Include the public URL, MARK or record identifier, what is wrong, who may be affected and whether the matter is urgent. Do not resend illegal imagery.

2. Report categories

Reports can concern harassment or threats; hate; sexual content or exploitation; child safety; self-harm; illegal or dangerous conduct; spam or fraud; impersonation; misleading claims; privacy or doxxing; intellectual property; team conduct; or another breach of the Community Guidelines.

3. Urgent matters

ROAD is not an emergency service and is not continuously staffed. Call 999 or the appropriate local emergency number if someone is in immediate danger. If a child may be at risk, use the appropriate police or safeguarding route as well as notifying ROAD.

For suspected child sexual abuse material or grooming, do not download, screenshot, copy or forward the content. Give ROAD the URL or record identifier. ROAD must preserve and report detected, previously unreported CSEA content to the National Crime Agency where the statutory reporting duty applies.

4. What ROAD can do

ROAD can review the content and context, record notes and actions, change severity, restrict or withhold an entry or ROAD, limit public profile disclosure, dismiss or escalate a report, preserve a legal-removal record, contact affected people or refer a matter to a competent authority. Team leaders can manage membership within team controls.

The current administration tools do not provide a complete account-suspension, permanent-ban or universal team-ejection workflow. ROAD will not promise a control it cannot operate; serious cases may require a documented manual or engineering response before the product workflow is expanded.

5. Triage targets

The moderation system assigns internal target deadlines: critical matters by the end of the day, high severity within 24 hours, medium within 48 hours and low within seven days. These are triage targets, not a guarantee that every investigation will finish in that time. ROAD must respond within any shorter period required by law and keep appropriate records of the outcome.

6. Fair process

ROAD considers context, severity, risk, recurrence, intent, legal duties, member rights and the impact on affected people. Rule-based text checks can block or flag a submission, but do not make a final legal determination. ROAD may limit detail where disclosure would expose another person, compromise security, prejudice an investigation or be unlawful.

7. Appeal or complain

To challenge a content or moderation outcome, email contact@roadco.uk with subject “Moderation appeal”. Identify the decision or content and explain the requested outcome. ROAD should acknowledge the request, arrange a proportionate human review and explain the result where lawful.

A data-protection complaint follows the separate process in Data Rights & Account Deletion. A complaint about unlawful content or service safety does not prevent a report to the police, Ofcom or another competent body.

8. Blocking and privacy

Signed-in members can block another member from relevant discovery or interaction surfaces where the product applies that filter. Blocking does not itself remove public content or guarantee that every indirect encounter is impossible. A report can include personal data about the reporter and affected people; ROAD uses it for safety, investigation, enforcement and legal compliance as described in the Privacy Notice.

9. Online Safety Act records

ROAD’s operator is responsible for maintaining the applicable illegal-content risk assessment, children’s access assessment, any children’s risk assessment, proportionate measures, complaints process, terms information, senior accountability and written compliance records. The 18+ self-declaration is not, by itself, highly effective age assurance.

The public report route on this page is intended to let both users and affected persons report. It does not replace the in-product and operational work needed to test reporting, appeals, response staffing, CSEA escalation and records.
